Nurse In America (“NIA”, “we”, “us”) operates the NCLEX preparation platform available at nianclex.com. We act as the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at any time at info@nianclex.com.

• Account data — first name, last name, email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Learning data — lessons viewed, practice answers, readiness and progress metrics.
• Support and contact data — messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Access data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and timestamps, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics data — anonymous or pseudonymous usage statistics, collected only after you accept analytics cookies (see the Cookie Policy).

• To provide the service — create and authenticate your account, deliver lessons, save progress. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To send transactional email — password resets, account notices and access confirmations. Legal basis: performance of contract.
• To keep the platform secure — abuse prevention, rate limiting, audit logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe service.
• To improve the product — aggregated usage analysis. Legal basis: your consent for analytics cookies, or legitimate interest for server-side aggregates.
• To meet legal obligations — accounting, responding to lawful requests. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Access to paid programs is currently activated manually by our team after you register and arrange payment with us directly. We do not run an automated card checkout on this website at the moment, and we do not collect or store card numbers on our servers.

If we later enable online card payments through a payment provider, that provider will process your payment details as an independent processor under its own privacy terms, and we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes we define:

• Hosting — our servers and database run on a dedicated virtual private server in the European Union.
• Email delivery — Hostinger SMTP, used to send transactional email from info@nianclex.com.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.
• Video delivery — YouTube (Google) for embedded lesson and webinar clips, loaded when you play a video.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights, users and systems.

Some providers listed above are established outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the provider.

• Account and learning data — for as long as your account is active, then up to 12 months after your last sign-in, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
• Server and security logs — up to 12 months.
• Support messages — up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
• Community photos and stories — until you withdraw your consent, after which we remove them from the site.
• Accounting records — for the retention period required by applicable tax law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. You can update most profile details yourself from your account settings. For anything else, email info@nianclex.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use a small set of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are optional and load only after you accept them in the consent banner. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, access tokens are short-lived, and administrative access to the database is limited to the operators who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

The platform is intended for nursing students and professionals aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will also be announced by email or in the product before they take effect.
