Let me take you back to 2020 — the COVID era. I was in my mid-twenties, in my fifth year of medical studies in Haiti, a country shaken by deep social and political unrest. I love my community profoundly, and witnessing its suffering stirred something powerful within me.

I have always believed one truth: greatness lives inside every person. But sometimes, it must be unlocked.

That same year, my older sister — a nurse — was fighting for her future in the United States. She had failed the NCLEX twice. She had invested time, money, and hope in multiple review programs across different states. Nothing worked. Her next attempt was her last chance.

She came to me for help. I did not fully understand the NCLEX. But I understood her dream.

So I studied the exam relentlessly — not just its content, but its logic, its structure, its psychology. I soon realized the problem was not effort. It was strategy. She needed more than information. She needed transformation.

So we built a system: mastering core content, developing clinical judgment, breaking down questions with precision, and learning from every mistake. During the COVID lockdown, we worked day and night. We refined the method. We strengthened the process. We trained the mind.

Three months later, she sat for the exam. She passed.

The day she passed changed my life. In that moment, I realized something extraordinary: I could help someone unlock their future.

Around me were stacks of handwritten notes, structured strategies, and powerful learning systems. Without knowing it, I had built the foundation of an NCLEX education program.

I thought my mission had ended. But my sister told me: “You just changed a life. You must help others.”

I began assisting a few nurses — almost for free. Soon, something remarkable happened. Long-time strugglers began to pass. They gave the program a name: DEBLOKE — because it unlocked their minds, their confidence, their future, and restored their dignity.

One day, a student said with emotion: “I am finally a nurse in America.” That testimony became a movement.

From those words, Nurse In America was born — not as a review course, but as a journey of transformation. A place where struggle becomes strength, determination becomes achievement, and dreams become reality.

Today, dozens of Haitian nurses who once felt defeated are now practicing in the United States. Some had failed multiple times. Some had lost hope. Some were told they would never succeed.

Today, they declare with pride: “I am a Nurse in America.”

Many people ask what keeps me so committed to this work, even with many responsibilities. The answer is simple: lives transformed.

Nothing compares to the calls I receive from students announcing their success. Those moments are filled with emotion, gratitude, and victory. They remind me why Nurse In America exists.

I remember Martin — a remarkable man of discipline and resilience. Before coming to the United States, he held stability and professional respect in his home country. Yet in America, he faced hardship, mistreatment, and loss of dignity. When he earned his RN license, everything changed. He regained respect. He reclaimed his dignity. He restored his purpose.

I remember the joyful calls of Marie Legrand and Merline, whose perseverance led them to success. I remember Lucie St-Ange and Lovely, who overcame immense personal challenges and triumphed against all odds.

These stories touch my heart. They remind me this work is not about an exam. It is about restoring confidence. It is about dignity. It is about unlocking human potential. That is why I continue.
